_ Ullapool is a great village with a really friendly atmosphere and loads going on for a place of its size. The surrounding area has some of the most magnificent scenery that you will find anywhere in the world. The views from Braes over Loch Broom and to the mountains beyond are breathtaking.
The house is lovely and bright and the views to the mountains and the sea are breathtaking. The house is situated on ½ acre of mature landscaped garden on a hill facing south overlooking Loch Broom. It is nicely furnished with excellent beds and sofas. The fully fitted kitchen and dining room are open plan and there is a comfortable living room. The house has carpet or wood floors throughout and central heating. From the house there is direct access to hill tracks for walking. It is a few minutes by car or you can walk by road or footpath to the village. Ullapool is a great village with a really friendly atmosphere and loads going on for a place of its size. We especially love the drive north through Assynt in Sutherland, where the mountains rise so dramatically out of the surrounding lochs and moors.
Details of the house
The house has two bedrooms and sleeps 4 people. One bedroom is on the south side of the house and has a king size bed, attached w.c., built in wardrobe and a large window with views across Loch Broom. The second bedroom has a double bed, sink, large chest of drawers and a window to the garden. Both beds have quality down duvets.
There is one full bathroom with a shower, separate bath, sink, wc, built in shelving, and bamboo flooring. The bathroom is clean and bright and was recently remodelled.
The kitchen and dining room have oak flooring and windows looking out on to the garden. The kitchen has an oven, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, good quality cooking pots and pans and all the utensils you need. The large living room has views out to Loch Broom and a sliding door leading out to the deck. The room is furnished to a high standard with sofas and tables. There is a satellite TV (free channels only), DVD and stereo unit in this room. A free Wi-Fi connection is available for your laptop or similar.
There is a deck that runs the full length of the south-side of the house with seating. The views from the deck are spectacular.
There is an airing cupboard and an outside clothes line. The walk-in cupboard stores a drying rack, vacuum cleaner, iron, ironing board, brush and dustpan, floor mop, etc. There is a large utility room under the house with a washing machine and storage for bicycles or other equipment you might have.
The house has off street parking.
Normally we live in this house and so it is well furnished and comfortable to be in. We think you will enjoy the relaxing and quiet surroundings that our house and garden have to offer.
Price 2012 £550 per week including electricity, towels and linen. The house is cleaned before arrival and after departure. There is a £100 security deposit payable to our caretaker on arrival.This is fully refundable so long as the house has been left in good order and the keys have been returned.

Changeover day
We normally ask people to arrive after 4pm and depart by 10am. Saturday is the preferred changeover day but we can sometimes be flexible with this.
